- About
For 50 years, Stained Glass Garden has been a vibrant home for the celebration of glass art in all its forms - celebrating the beauty, craftsmanship, and creative spirit that transforms light into color. What began in 1976 as a small Berkeley home studio with Joan and her brother Bruce McLean, quickly grew into a welcoming gallery and education center in the Oceanview district, where artists, students, and collectors come together to explore and celebrate the many possibilities of glass art.
From custom stained glass design and fabrication, to a gift gallery highlighting artists from the Bay Area and beyond, this creative space honors both tradition and modern innovation while sharing the love of glass. Whether a student is picking up a glass cutter for the first time to refining years of practice, Stained Glass Garden is a place to learn, experiment, and be inspired.
