Top 5 Reasons to do Berkeley Restaurant Week

The Annual Berkeley Restaurant Week is in January at more than 35 diverse restaurants citywide.

Update: Berkeley Restaurant Week has been postponed until March 2021.

Berkeley Restaurant Week returns each year, in January, allowing foodies and friends, locals and visitors to dine citywide and experience Berkeley’s legendary culinary scene. Special prix-fixe menus are offered for both lunch ($25) and dinner ($25, $30 or $40) at more than 35 diverse restaurants that share Berkeley’s Cali-cuisine legacy.

Here are five reasons not to miss #BRW:

1. Deals

$30 for a quality three-course dinner in the Bay Area? Are you serious, what is this, 2005?

2. Somewhere New

There are several new/newish restaurants on the list: Creekwood, Berkeley Boathouse, Pollara Pizzeria, Fish & Bird, Chai Thai Noodles, KC’s BBQ and El Patio. And hey, if you haven't been to a restaurant on the list, it's new to you!

3. Chef Wizards

Fabrice Macron at Julia's, Gather's Michael Huynh, Supasit Puttikaew at Funky Elephant, Charis Wahl at The Rare Barrel... we could go on, but suffice to say, #BRW20 features a number of diversely talented chefs.

4. Menus - Including Lunch

All menus are posted on individual restaurant pages here. Scroll down to specific restaurants, click the blue DETAILS tab, start salivating.

The returning restaurants this year are Agrodolce, AKEMI, Baker & Commons, Berkeley Social Club, Cesar, Donato & Co., Easy Creole, Funky Elephant, Gather, Gaumenkitzel, Henry’s at Graduate Berkeley, Julia's at the Berkeley City Club, La Marcha, Le Bateau Ivre, La Note, La Mediterranee, Lemat, Longbranch, Lucia's, Kirin, Nico's 1508, Paisan, Pyeong Chang Tofu, The Rare Barrel, Revival Bar + Kitchen, Riva Cucina, Skates On The Bay, Triple Rock Brewing, Trattoria La Siciliana, Zino and Zut! Tavern.

5. Contests

Visit Berkeley is partnering with BARTable and KDFC on big #BRW20 contests that include combinations of hotel stays, restaurant gift cards, wine parties and more. And that's not all; contests will also be running on Visit Berkeley's Facebook and Instagram pages. Are you in?
